With the contribution of Freedom Combination and Trend Rights Platform, a panel was held in The Hague, Netherlands, titled “Evaluation of a Safe Country for Victims of State of Emergency and Other Human Rights Violations.” During the event, Prof. Johan Vande Lanotte shared the findings of his latest report on ongoing human rights violations and challenges to freedom of expression in the country.

The panel highlighted that authorities often disregard European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) rulings, and current practices do not provide a safe environment for asylum seekers or other affected individuals. The presentation aimed to raise awareness about the situation from an international law and human rights perspective. The event was organized in collaboration with OpenEmbassy, Solidarity with OTHERS, and Stichting IPN, and was enriched by the contribution of Trend Rights Platform.
